Listening: YouTube
YouTube is one of my favorite tools. You can learn anything on YouTube, right? I've using it a lot during my days.
Every morning I start with a few videos for my mindset. Most mornings I start listening to this gratitude affirmations video while I'm still in bed. It really helps me start my day, even when I'm having a hard time facing my circumstances. Gratitude practices are my favorite spiritual habit.
A while ago I watched a video about a woman who was very broke and then achieved financial abundance, and her advice about how to think about money really resonated with me and inspired this post. She talks about creating a good home for money, like you are being a good partner to money. Don't ignore money. Don't be mad at money. Don't talk badly to money. Instead, connect with money, spend time with your money, and take an interest in money. Guilty! I avoid looking at my bank account. I don't budget or track my spending. I stress about money instead of enjoying it. So here we are changing that.
I am filling my algorithm with content about money and wealth. Brian Scott has many videos about meditating on money. Sometimes I like to put on something like this while I get going with breakfast, etc.
Then during the day I've been taking in some mending from my neighbors to make whatever money I can while I'm not booked for ski lessons. It's very compatible to put on some videos to learn while I sew.
Learning: Here's the most basic concept, applying compound interest to your savings. I know this, but it's still motivating to listen to the power of saving more now. Volatility Shield is a new term for me, so I really liked that video. Here's one on the basic vocabulary for investing. Developing a habit of staying current on the market can't hurt. Here's a market update for today. I also liked this video about teaching kids about how to manage money. Now that I'm seeking out this type of content, the algorithm is starting to suggest more money topics.
And to end the day, my daughter and I listened to this money magic spell as her lullaby.
Let me know what videos you suggest!
